Two Pylon Warbird

Two pylon RCPRO Warbird (RC Pylon Racing Organization) racing consists of three classes:

Class Name Approx. Speed (MPH)
Bronze 75
Silver 95
Gold 125

All classes fly the same aircraft, a WWII vintage propellor driven airplane. Any aircraft that has raced at Reno in the Unlimited class is also allowed.

The outline, color and markings must be similar to a real aircraft. Some people call this 'Stand Off Scale'. This picture

shows a bunch of planes. You can see that some of the planes are millitary trim and others are modeled after Reno racers.

The race course is a oval shape with the pilots and their callers outside the oval. To fly the course, pilots stand stationary as they fly the plane around pylons 1 and 2. This picture shows the race course layout from above.
