In addition to Fly-Ins and Races, SpeedWorld R/C Flyers has three additional Special Events.

We have a yearly Jet Rally. Pilots from the western United States bring and fly their jet models. There are vendors selling various R/C model products. Most of the jets have one or more actual turbine engines. This makes them very impressive and expensive. To see pictures from a recent Jet Rally, go to the pictures section. We have one or two Swap Meets each year. It's a place for our members and guests to get together and buy or sell R/C modelling stuff. To make sure you don't miss the next Swap Meet, check our calendar regularly. Bring stuff you are willing to sell at bargain prices and set up a table. Sell your stuff and then buy other people's stuff. Or just swap your stuff and eliminate the money transactions. Or just come out and fly. SpeedWorld R/C Flyers has a high percentage of it's members who volunteer their time to run our world class racing and air show events. Without these workers, there would be no races or events. Because of the number and quality of our workers, we have some of the best R/C pylon races in the world. There are many contestants from around the globe who make a point of attending our races. To show the clubs appreciation for their efforts, we have a day for the workers to come to the field, fly, eat, swap stories and win prizes donated by our race event sponsors. If you are interested in working at an event, contact any club officer or attend our meetings regularly where we sign up people for the upcoming events. There are many interesting jobs and we will train you if you have not done them before.
